I've ordered Cajun Chicken for lunch. The chicken is moderately spicy and very juicy. The chips are hot and crispy. The food quality here is really good.
The staff were so lovely and hospitable. We got sausage, egg and chips which was a great portion size. And they serve Yorkshire Tea!!! So 100 points for that!
I stumbled across this delightful old building in Wolvo' which is now a well presented cafe. You can get hot or cold sandwiches, burgers, soup, cakes, a selection of tea, coffee and cold beverages. I had toast sandwich customised with a wide choice of breakfast items. If you're looking for somewhere traditional but fairly priced, then Tunwall's is it.
Enjoyed a lovely full English breakfast, the staff were pleasant and nothing was too much trouble for them. Would definitely recommend!
Great prompt service, food all freshly made, prices are really good, massive size portions. Highly recommend
5 Star Breakfast in Wolves, fabulous service, highly recommended
Nice cafe with a great atmosphere. The interior is lovely and the menu is good. Decent vegetarian options. The small veggie breakfast is recommended, it comes with halloumi which is nice. Prices are reasonable and staff are friendly.
They say that you never appreciate what's right on your doorstep. As a Wulfrunian having lived in Wolverhampton for over 60 years I set foot in the building known as Lindie Lou's a timber framed building dating back to 1609 for the very first time. Occupied by Tunwalls cafe restaurant a family operated business, I decided to pay a visit after hearing the owner being interviewed on radio and after several TV appearances and was not disappointed. A friendly welcome awaited me from the young lady behind the counter and I plumped for the gammon, egg and chips garnished with half a cooked tomatoe, tasty garden peas and a pot of cold pineapple cubes. What can I say, the plate was enormous, chips were very generous in portion and the cold cubed pineapple was a great change to the routine charred pineapple often experienced with cooked gammon. At 10 I considered this fantastic value and topped it off with a mug of tea for 2. Waiting time was about 20 minutes at mid day which was acceptable if you want decently cooked hot food. Most of the downstairs tables were full which says something for a Monday - Have I been missing out on something for the past few years? The answer is YES. What great value and attentive service. This must be one of Wolverhampton's eatery gems. A small test of customer service was when I asked if my pot of tea could be topped up with hot water. With no hesitation this was actioned without charge - A small request which was duly obliged - Top customer service in my opinion. At the end of my meal I enquired about the upstairs room eating areas and was duly given a brief tour. The one upstairs room includes a Wolverhampton tribute area including former Wolves logoed dining chairs. Booking of this area on home match days is a MUST. Overall a gem of a place which I will return to when next in the city. Keep up the good work - Top marks to this hidden culinary gem.
